Presidents of the SFAO

On 27 April 2022, the Federal Council appointed Pascal Stirnimann as Director of the SFAO. He trained as a business economist and chartered accountant, and is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and licensed audit expert. Before joining the SFAO in summer 2022, he worked in the private sector, at the Federal Audit Oversight Authority and in the Federal Administration. Pascal Stirnimann headed the Auditing Section of the Federal Office of Transport from 2015 and was the man behind the investigations into the accounting irregularities at PostBus.
