Swiss Federal Audit Office's priorities for 2016
The Federal Council has taken note of the annual programme of the Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) for 2016. This programme is drawn up completely independently by the SFAO. Aside from the emphasis placed on profitability audits, the SFAO's teams will audit several significant federal IT projects and will continue their work on issues associated with federal purchases.
Who audits the Swiss Federal Audit Office?
Like every institution, the Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) also needs to be inspected periodically from an external, critical perspective. The European Court of Auditors (ECA) was tasked with this inspection and has submitted its report. The SFAO will implement its recommendations by the end of 2016.
