The Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) has audited the Biometrics System Platform Renewal Programme (ESYSP) for the third time. The ESYSP programme is used to procure and introduce new standard systems for recording biometric data for Swiss passports, identity cards and foreigner’s identity cards. As key components are reaching the end of their service life, they need to be replaced.
