compenswiss is a federal institution under public law with its own legal personality. It is based in Geneva. It is responsible for managing the cash and assets of the compensation funds for old-age and survivors’ insurance (AHV), disability insurance (IV) and compensation for loss of earnings (EO). Assets under management amounted to CHF 40.6 billion as at 31 December 2023.

The Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) examined whether the compenswiss investment process is geared towards the achievement of its goals. It also assessed whether the minimum legal requirements are appropriately supplemented by internal regulations and are efficiently implemented.
