Transparency in political funding: budgeted receipts for popular votes of 14 June 2026 are now available

Two proposals will be put to the vote on 14 June 2026: the popular initiative ‘ No to a Switzerland with 10 million! (Sustainability Initiative) ’ and the amendment to the Civilian Service Act. Campaigners who spend more than CHF 50 000 must disclose their funding. The Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) publishes the data reported by the campaigners no later than 30 days before the federal popular vote.

By 15 May 2026, an estimated total volume of CHF 16.14 million had been disclosed for both  proposals. 15.52 million Swiss francs were reported for the proposal popular initiative ‘ No to a Switzerland with 10 million! (Sustainability Initiative) ’ whereas 0.62 million Swiss francs were reported for the amendment to the Civilian Service Act. The budgeted receipts are published in detail in the SFAO’s electronic reporting register.
