Audit Risk and pending item management - Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication

The Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication (FOITT), the largest IT service provider of the Federal Administration, is currently undergoing a major transformation. It is aligning its processes and organisation with a more flexible and agile work organisation and adapting to the changed environment. The modernisation is being steered by the director with the Midar transformation initiative. The transformation attaches particular importance to risk management.

Audit Reorganisation of the Federal Supervisory Board for Foundations - Federal Department of Home Affairs

With a density of 16 foundations per 10,000 inhabitants, Switzerland is third in Europe, behind Liechtenstein and Hungary. Of the total of 13,375 foundations, 36% serve a national or international purpose and are therefore subject to the Federal Supervisory Board for Foundations (FSBF). The FSBF monitors the appropriate use of CHF 40 billion in foundation assets.

Peer Review Review 2020 of the Swiss Federal Audit Office by the Cour des comptes

On 23 September 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding entrusted the French Cour des comptes with the peer review of the Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO). The Swiss Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) was last reviewed in 2015 by the European Court of Auditors (ECA). The review examined strategy, programming and quality control, and all recommendations were implemented in full. As a follow-up to this audit, the SFAO decided to undergo a new peer review according to the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAIs) in order to assess its strengths and weaknesses. More specifically, the review covered the following topics, which were determined jointly by the SFAO and the Cour des comptes: independence; communication and relations with stakeholders; ethics, transparency, accountability and good governance; approach to audits.
