Audit Subsidy for milk testing - Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office

The national milk producers' and processors' organisations commission the laboratory Suisselab SA to test milk quality. The laboratory carries out sample testing twice a month at nearly 20,000 farms. Part of the testing is based on federal regulations. This milk testing under public law is subsidised by the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO).

identitas AG has been operating the Trade in Livestock Database (TLD) on behalf of the Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) since 1999 and provides other services. The TLD forms the basis for the traceability of animals for food safety and animal diseases. The Confederation owns 51% of the shares in the company. The FOAG and the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO) both have one representative on the board of directors. The 16 minority shareholders are mainly trade associations and interest groups from the agricultural sector. The Confederation pays identitas AG an average CHF 9 million for fulfilling its monitoring duties in the trade in livestock.

Audit Subsidies for export and investment promotion - State Secretariat for Economic Affairs

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) commissions the private law association Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) to implement the federal tasks of export promotion and national investment promotion. Within this framework, S-GE provides basic services such as information on new market opportunities and individual market clarifications for export-oriented companies. Moreover, the association promotes the establishment of foreign companies and investors in Switzerland.
