The Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) is set to see some changes in its management team from 1 July 2026. Eveline Hügli will become the new Director of the SFAO, succeeding Brigitte Christ in the team. Eric-Serge Jeannet will take over as Vice-President.
“I am delighted to welcome Eveline Hügli, an experienced and committed leader, to the management team,” says SFAO President Pascal Stirnimann. She was selected following an internal recruitment process. Eveline Hügli joined the SFAO as an evaluation expert in mid-2016. Just under a year later, she became a project manager and has since overseen various departments, where she assessed risk situations and designed audits based on her findings. Prior to this, the 45-year-old political scientist spent over eight years as a project manager for political research and consultancy at Büro Vatter.
Eveline Hügli takes over the management of the audit domains from Brigitte Christ. Brigitte Christ has been with the SFAO for almost 15 years. First as a Head of Competence Centres, later as Director and then as Vice-President. She has decided to retire from working life early. “I would like to thank Brigitte Christ for the tremendous work she has done for the SFAO. She has made a significant contribution to the work of the audit office,” notes Pascal Stirnimann.
The new Vice-President will be Eric-Serge Jeannet, who has been Director since 2013 and heads the Competence Centres.
In order to prevent potential conflicts of interest, Eveline Hügli will not be responsible for the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS).
